I'm Trevor Monk, founder of Sterling Home Improvements and a lifelong New Jersey resident based in Basking Ridge. With over 16 years in the home improvement industry — including my years as co-owner of Monk's Home Improvements — I've built my career on doing quality work and treating every homeowner's home like my own.
What I love most about running a small company is staying personally involved in every single job. You won't get a salesman and a stranger showing up — you get me, on-site, making sure the work is done right.
I proudly served in the U.S. Army on active duty from 1995–1998, followed by six years in the New Jersey National Guard through 2004. That military background shaped the discipline, reliability and integrity I bring to every project. My core principles as a business owner are shaped and guided not only by my military background but also by my faith as a parishioner of St. James Church in Basking Ridge. When I'm not on a job site, I currently serve on the Ridge Youth Sports board and coach for both youth football and lacrosse — a community I'm honored to call home.
